Simon is a full time professional researcher and author in the 'ancient mysteries' genre. Having once, in a past life, studied Egyptology at University College London, Simon left to set up his own research company called Quest Research UK. Having worked on some of the best known books in the genre as both a consultant and a researcher and he is highly regarded in the field by his peers.

His Makers of Time project, in conjunction with David Ritchie has been many years in the making and he regards it as his magnum opus. It is hoped that the project's first volume will be published in 2002'

Along with his research work, Simon also acts as a consultant to a number of production companies in the TV and media field, he also contributes to a number of web sites on a regular basis.

Simon's research has taken him around the world and he is a regular visitor to Egypt and the Middle East, but he has also spent time diving off the Bahamas in the 'quest for Atlantis' as well as many other places. He is a regular lecturer in both the UK and abroad.

Simon lives in sunny Buckinghamshire, along with his Jack Russell, Sam, where they take plenty of muddy walks…..
